Falconbridge Edison was part of a $ 35.4 million restructuring project implemented by Falconbridge Ltd. to consolidate all of its operations into three new modern facilities. Perry + Perry Architects Inc. were retained to conduct feasibility studies to analyze Falconbridge Edison's needs and develop schematic designs to demonstrate opportunities and associates costs.

The project involved a 3-storey addition and extensive renovations to the existing building. All of Falconbridge's Sudbury operations administration was consolidated into a new functional work environment.

Construction occurred throughout the winter months on budget and with no schedule delays. The building was occupied during construction requiring additional coordination and management from the design team.
