Project / Construction Management

Holy Redeemer Church - Sudbury, Ontario

The traditional process of Design / Bid / Build, wherein the owner will first retain the Architect to prepare the design, then have contractors bid on the finished drawings, has been the predominant project delivery method in North America.

The complexities of this traditional project delivery method has caused owners to complain that it is slow, inefficient and typically more costly. In addition, an adversarial relationship typically exists between the Owner and the General Contractor.

Perry + Perry Architects Inc. provide an optional Architect led Project and/or Construction Management alternative encouraging collaboration between all TEAM members involved in the process.

Because Perry + Perry Architects Inc. acts as the Project / Construction manager for the project, we not only monitor closely the execution of design but retain greater control over the consistency of design and construction quality. From the perspective of the owner, the following advantages may be realized:

Single point responsibility.
Mutually consistent project goals of all parties / partners.
Accelerated design and construction schedules. (sequential tendering)
Early design input from construction trades therefore better methods at lower cost.
Effective and concise communication links to all TEAM members.
Flexible design and construction process that allows changes midstream without exorbitant costs.
